  Revert "Removed some evil commented out code"

This reverts commit a967e4bb46234b329431fd89ad88ac7a402adac2.

The commented out code may be useful to test bugs which only occur on
slow computers.

I discussed this commit with @Vultraz and @ln-zookeeper in IRC.
